MLA Talent

MLA Talent is an agency representing some of the most exciting talent in the media today.

The company prides itself on its reputation as a trustworthy agency that provides a personal and thorough service for its clients.

Our client list includes well established household names in radio and television and fresh new acting and comedy talent who we believe to be the future faces and voices of broadcasting. We also represent producers, writers and DJ’s who are recognised within the entertainment industries.

Mike set up the agency in 2007 having previously represented talent at JGPM Ltd, Paul Duddridge Management and MK Management since the year 2000.

After graduating in 1989 with an Honours Degree in Drama Theatre Television Studies, Mike went to work at Allied Entertainment PLC run by Ed Simons and Harvey Goldsmith.

At the same time he was part of the team that set up The Heckler Magazine, the first monthly UK magazine devoted to stand up comedy.

In 1994 he was co creator of the board games nightclub The Double Six Club that ran franchises all around the UK and was a mainstay on the Summer Festival circuit. After co creating the infamous Regency Rooms Cabaret Club that ran from 1995-2000, he was asked to become MD of London Entertains Ltd and ran the London cabaret venues ‘The Talk of London in Covent Garden and The Improv on Tottenham Court Road. Mike changed it’s name to the Embassy Rooms and it was voted Best New Club in 1999 by Time Out Magazine where it hosted top name bands, cabaret and comedy nights. It was eventually sold out to Spearmint Rhino- a club Mike is adamant he has never visited!

Due to his burgeoning reputation with emerging and established talent and his links with the media glitterati that used to attend his myriad of comedy and cabaret nights, he decided to concentrate on representation and today sees him running an Agency that is fast getting a reputation for its amazing clients and professionalism.
